Fiji trade union leader Felix Anthony released from police custody

The general secretary of the Fiji Trades Union Congress, Felix Anthony, has been released from police custody.

Fiji Village online reports the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Henry Brown, confirming that Mr Anthony has been released after being questioned in regards to certain serious allegations.

Mr Brown also re-iterated that Mr Anthony may be brought in again for questioning, should the need arise.

The president of the Congress, Daniel Urai, has been charged under the interim regime's crimes decree of urging political violence and was granted bail on Wednesday.
