A newly formed cargo airline that aims to revive the Northern Marianas' agriculture industry plans to start transporting local produce from the CNMI to Guam in March.

Arctic Circle Air is eyeing two flights a day-one in the morning and another in the afternoon-for three to four times a week.

The company, which is owned by local businessman Anthony Pellegrino, will be charging 50 cents a pound for incoming and outgoing cargo, which is half the price of Cape Air.

Discounted rates may also be available depending on the cargo load and quantity.
