In the Northern Marianas the state of emergency at the Commonwealth Healthcare Corporation has been extended.
The Governor Benigno Fitial signed last Friday Executive Order 2012-04. The last time the corporation was placed under a state of emergency was on April 20.
Governor Fitial, in his two page order, said a state of emergency is declared due to the imminent threat of the disruption of critical medical services in the Commonwealth.
The emergency declaration will suspend statutory or regulatory provisions as well as the reprogramming of funds to meet the emergency at the corporation.
