US donates 150,000 US dollars to Samoa to fight climate change

The US Government has donated 150,000 US dollars to Samoa, to help tourist operators in their fight against climate change.

The Samoa Observer reports that USAID is providing the money so tourist operators can build resilience and prepare for the effects of climate change.

The regional director of USAID, Dennis Wendel, says its key priorities are to help communities in the Pacific mitigate against the effects of climate change and prepare for disaster.
