Tonga stops suspected Chinese passport fraudsters

Two Chinese nationals who were charged over the possession of forged Tongan passports have been stopped from leaving Tonga.

Police say Min Wang and her male co-accused Nai Yan Cheung were arrested by police at Fua'amotu International Airport on October the 15th.

Matangi Tonga reports they have been released on bail until January when the case will be submitted to the Supreme Court for trial.

Min Wang has been charged with possession of a forged passport, use of a forged passport and possession of an unlawful passport, while Cheung was charged with abetment.
