Papua New Guinea snapped a four game winless streak to move to within two wins of qualifying for cricket's Twenty20 World Cup.
The Barramundi's recovered from 3 for 9 in the second over to post 168 for 5 batting first against Bermuda,
Tony Ura continued his fine form, smashing 47 from 32 balls, while Mahura Dai added 64 not out from 42 deliveries.
Bermuda were restricted to 143 for 9 in reply, with Willie Gavera snaring 3 for 17 from his four overs.
The General Manager of Cricket PNG, Greg Campbell, says the players coped with the pressure well.
"Fate was in our hands and of course Afghanistan done us a favour but the boys played really well after recovering from 3 for 10 or 4 for 20 to get 170 and then keep them to under that, that's a great effort. The confidence was always there and they just knew if they backed their ability they can come through so we've got Namibia in two days time and the boys have played them before. They've got four wins in their pool too so we're totally confident going in - if we play to our ability things can go our way."
