A school has been closed in Vanuatu after a dispute over the alleged misappropriation of funds.
The Shefa Provincial Education Officer, Elmo Joseph, says Ulei Junior Secondary School, in North Efate, will remain closed until the school can account for fees that have allegedly been mishandled.
Angry parents have demanded answers from the former principal.
Mr Joseph says the Ministry may give a grant, but not before it gets an explanation of how school fees were spent.
