4:26 pm on 20 May 2015

The New Zealand Prime Minister John Key may reportedly visit Fiji this year.

According to FBC News, this was suggested in parliament by the foreign minister, Ratu Inoke Kubuabola.

He says during last weekend's meeting with his counterpart, Murray McCully, the New Zealand government suggested a state visit go ahead later this year.

No New Zealand prime minister has made a Fiji visit since the 2006 military coup.
