Things don't get any easier for the Samoa Under 20 rugby team, who face South Africa in their second match at the Junior World Championship in Italy.

The Baby Manu pushed Australia to the wire in a 34-22 defeat in midweek, where they were within five points of the lead with six minutes remaining.

The Baby Boks were clinical in a 33-5 victory over hosts Italy and Samoa captain Josh Dowsing says they will need to step up again.

"I think we've just got to work on our defence a bit. We've got a [job to do as they have some] really big boys - we've got to take their legs out so they can't keep going and hopefully just work harder and that's all we can ask, and hopefully we get another improved performance."

Samoan hooker Elia Elia will miss the Manu's final two pool matches after being suspended for two weeks for a dangerous tackle in the loss to Australia.
