The Papua New Guinea Hunters are bracing for one of their toughest trips away to face the Mackay Cutters this Saturday in the Queensland Cup.

The Hunters leave Kokopo for Port Moresby on Thursday before flying to Cairns, from where they will catch a 12-hour bus ride to Mackay.

Michael Marum's team extended their unbeaten run to 15 games at the weekend and following this weekend, will finish the season with two home games before a guaranteed week off at the start of the finals series.
