Sir Bernard Sakora was charged by anti-fraud police with judicial corruption last month in relation to an arrest warrant against the prime minister Peter O'Neill.

Sir Bernard's lawyer, Loani Henao, says there was no direction from the public prosecutor to prosecute his client, and his warrant was not signed by a magistrate.

Mr Henao told EMTV that he asked that proceedings against Sir Bernard be dismissed, and his bail money refunded.
