1.15  Inspiring art work lights up and plays music, Matthew Tucker's creation

Artist Matthew Tucker has always loved numbers and patterns.

Matthew lives with a disability and uses a wheelchair, but none of that gets in the way of his creative talent.

In fact, His most ambitious artwork to date is now on show for the public to see along Te Ara I Whiti also known as  The Lightpath in Auckland until 10 December.

Matthew's audio-visual artwork inspired by the constellations the works of Beethoven.

Matthew talks to Jesse about the special display and how he created it.

1.25 Neuroendocrinology centre celebrates 20 years

Dunedin's Centre for Neuroendocrinology  turns 20 this year.

To celebrate - the centre is hosting three-day symposium to celebrate all things Neuroendocrinology.

The science of Neuroendocrinology is how the brain controls hormone levels in the blood and how those hormones in turn influence brain function.

CNE Director Professor Rebecca Campbell joins Jesse to explain more.

1:35 Muriwai Deli reopens after being closed due to cyclone damage

The Muriwai Deli is just one of many businesses that was affected by Cyclone Gabrielle earlier this year.

Unable to open shop, they have been doing a range of things to stay a float - running bread making workshops, anything to keep the business financially viable.

The family run deli has now finally re-opened over the past weekend, bringing their popular offerings of fresh bread and doughnuts, amongst other things, back to locals.

Cam Steel runs the deli with his brothers, he speaks to Jesse.

60 years on from the assassination of US President John F Kennedy, and there are still so many questions about that shocking day in November 1963. Why did Lee Harvey Oswald want to kill JFK? Did he act alone?  A new theory has emerged from a filmmaker who never set out to answer any of those questions, Mary Haverstick. But while making a film about a group of female aviators training to be astronauts in the late 50's, she came across the story of Jerrie Cobb.  With classified documents accidentally landing in her lap, Haverstick tells the story of a woman who may have been a spy and part of the team that attempted to assassinate Fidel Castro and possibly an accomplice to Lee Harvey Oswald. Her  book is called  A WOMAN I KNOW: Female Spies, Double Identities, and a New Story of the Kennedy Assassination.
