ANZ senior economist Sharon Zollner said the drop could be due to monthly volatility. However, global financial market jitters could impact truck movements in the months ahead.
ANZ would be watching the Truckometer indexes closely for an early heads-up on any impact on domestic activity, Ms Zollner said.
