A new web-based business has been launched offering a last-minute booking service for tourist activities in New Zealand.
'Bookme' founder James Alder set up the website to cater for a growing number of tourists who want to book their tourist activities at the last minute and at a discount.
He says it will also help tourism operators who are having to adapt to fewer forward bookings and more last-minute arrivals.
The website at www.bookme.co.nz offers a range of activities from jet boating and four-wheel drive exercusions to heli-skiing and bowling.
Currently, it concentrates on tourist activities in the South Island but there are plans to expand into the Auckland market later in the year.
