Salisbury leaving NZ Oil and Gas

7:00 am on 3 July 2011

New Zealand Oil and Gas chief executive David Salisbury is stepping down after four years with the company.

Mr Salisbury will leave at the end of the year for personal reasons.

His time at the energy explorer coincided with the Tui oilfield and Kupe gasfield coming on stream, and a portfolio-diversifying push into Tunisia.

Chairman Tony Radford says Mr Salisbury has made a tremendous contribution during a period of growth for the firm, and it's disappointed to be losing someone of his calibre.
