The Red Cross is launching two new grants for people affected by the Christchurch earthquake.

The first provides $250 for every child forced to move home and school after the 22 February quake.

The second allocates $500 to households which had to live without a flushing toilet for 90 days or longer.

The Red Cross has raised $105 million so far - most of which has been paid out as hardship or bereavement grants.
