Two people charged with manslaughter over a fatal car crash on Christmas Day in Tauranga have pleaded not guilty.
Merepeka Morehu Clark, 14, and her 13-year-old sister Brooklyn died after two cars collided on Welcome Bay Road.
Three people have been charged in connection to the deaths.
The lawyers for Haki Davey, 18, and the girls' mother, Philippa Morehu, 36, entered not guilty pleas on their behalf at the High Court in Rotorua on Tuesday.
The third person charged in relation to the deaths, Hetaraka Reihana, did not enter a plea. He will next appear in court at the end of May.
