More than 3000 Suzuki Swift owners in New Zealand are caught in a global recall of the car, after the discovery of a defect that may cause petrol leakage.
Suzuki Motors in Japan has recalled more than 100,000 Swift compact cars worldwide as a precaution, and is offering a free repair to a faulty connection on the rubber fuel filler hose.
The model was produced and distributed between September 2010 - April 2012.
Suzuki New Zealand says a letter has been sent to all dealerships and purchasers.
It hopes to complete all repairs in the next few weeks.
