Broadband services to more than 200,000 Telecom customers have been restored after a nationwide fault overnight on Monday.
An upgrade to Telecom's Auckland-based broadband service caused a fault that stopped the system operating at 1am on Tuesday. Broadband clients and some Eftpos customers were affected.
A spokesperson said technicians identified the problem and transferred the system to Christchurch.
Broadband services were restored before 9am on Tuesday.
