A promising New Zealand rugby league international has been found dead at his home in Sydney.
Mosese Fotuaika, 20, was a prop for the NRL's West Tigers and was named in the Junior Kiwis last year.
New South Wales police said they found Fotuaika at his house in Sydney on Thursday night and the death is not suspicious.
Fotuaika was about to make his NRL debut for the Tigers.
Kiwis manager Tony Kemp said Fotuaika was a promising player and his death is extremely sad.
Mr Kemp said the junior player's death is a reminder that professional sports teams need to be more aware of players' mental health.
He said New Zealand sports codes are not always good at recognising and dealing with depression among players and he is working with rugby league's governing body to improve the situation.
