Police Minister Anne Tolley says police are not shying away from talking to the media about the investigation into a group of Auckland teenagers who boasted online about having sex with drunk and under-age girls.

A video is posted on their website, Facebook page and on YouTube appealing for help with the Roast Busters inquiry.
Mrs Tolley said police are trying to take some of the heat out of the situation so that young people can feel confident and safe about coming forward to speak to them.
The minister said she has encouraged police to use social media to reach out to young people.
