An engineer accused of a $2 million fraud against Mighty River Power has denied the charges and will face a High Court trial next year.
Paul Kenneth Rose, 42, who was an electrical engineer at the Southdown power station, faces four charges of obtaining by deception. Jane Clare Rose, 42, to whom he was married at the time, faces two charges.
Both appeared at the High Court in Auckland this morning where Justice Moore set a trial date for February next year.
Mr Rose was in charge of buying goods and services for the gas-fired power plant in Penrose.
The SFO said he falsely billed Mighty River Power for goods or services between 2005 and 2012.
Mrs Rose's lawyer Matt Goodwin said the SFO had filed 13,000 documents in the case.
Both Paul Rose and Jane Rose have been remanded on bail.
