Threat closes Work and Income office

2:21 pm on 3 August 2016

Napier's Work and Income office has reopened after it closed this morning because of a man's threatening phone call.

Police said the caller regretted making the comments, and no arrest had been made so far.

Inquiries were under way to see whether charges will be laid.

It was the second threat to a Work and Income office in a week.

A man was arrested last Friday after staff at the Tauranga office were threatened.
