Police said Daniel Kipa had been arrested without incident.

A large number of officers blocked off Albert Street, close to the Southern Motorway, as part of the operation. Mr Kipa was found at an address in the suburb this afternoon.

Earlier this week there was another armed police operation in Glen Innes as officers looked for Mr Kipa. They described him as possibly armed, and dangerous.

Police said he allegedly pointed a firearm at officers on Monday.
