War service medals and jewellery have been stolen from the Auckland home of a British military veteran.

Police say the medals were of extreme sentimental and historical value for the 24-year veteran and his family.
They were taken from the property in Church Street, Onehunga, on Sunday morning.
Among the six medals was one honouring service in the Iraq War, another for the Gulf War and a Queen's Golden Jubilee medal.
Other distinctive items included a sapphire ring and necklace, a Breitling watch with a rubber wrist band and a gold-coloured pocket watch engraved with a name, rank and service number.
Police want to hear from anyone who may recognise the items.
