A missing Southland hunter has been found cold and hungry, but unharmed.
The man, who is in his forties, became separated from his three companions on Monday evening in the Dunsdale area, near Gore.

He was spotted by a Southern Lakes Helicopters crew near the Dunsdale Stream yesterday and was winched out, after spending 24 hours in the bush.
More than 30 people searched for him.
