Ms Tolley, 30, was stabbed and shot at point-blank range in her Upper Hutt home on 10 December.

Police released images from security footage of a white ute seen in the area at the time, as well as of a silver car.

The owner of the car had been spoken to and was no longer a person of interest, and the owner of the ute had come forward and would be spoken to today, police said.

Police said they were still looking for four men, but said it was possible one or more women were involved.

They were also still looking for any information related to footwear and a beanie found at the scene.

The items of clothing were found at or near the scene of Lois Tolley's killing.
