Police are looking for a man after a serious assault in Lower Hutt early this morning.

The said a woman was assaulted on High Street in Taita at 4am. She was taken to hospital.
Police were looking for a man they described as dark skinned with short dreadlocks.
They said he left the area on a bicycle and was last seen riding towards Silverstream.
