Three men wearing disguises - with two holding guns - walked into Headin' Home Bar on Ti Rakau Drive in Pakuranga about 12.30pm.

The trio forced the staff and customers inside the bar to lie down on the floor, firing off shots - which did not hit anyone - before running off with cash in a waiting car, police said.

The Eagle helicopter and several dog units have been called to help the search but the culprits have not been found.

A forensic examination is under way, and witnesses are being interviewed.

Anyone with information is being urged to contact the police, potentially for a reward, as part of a month-long campaign aimed at tackling aggravated robberies.
