More than 20,000 people have attended a roadshow promoting the Rugby World Cup around New Zealand.

The event started on 4 July in Bluff and finished on Sunday in downtown Auckland.

It visited 27 towns and cities to preview regional events during the tournament.

The three-hour event allowed visitors to take part in activites and interactive displays, including the chance to get photos with the Webb Ellis Cup.

Rugby New Zealand chief executive Martin Snedden says people have come out in force to show their support for the Rugby World Cup.
