Police in Masterton are working closely with Wairarapa District Health Board and local schools after the recent deaths of four teenagers.

The police say there have been three deaths of young people in the district in the past month, and one in June.

The police say they have worked with the DHB to bring together a number of services that will help young people who may be vulnerable, including mental health services and family groups.

A coroner is investigating the deaths and has yet to rule on how the teenagers died.
