Police in Wellington are investigating the discovery of a body in a drain near the national museum, Te Papa.
The body was found by a member of the public in the Chaffers Marina area, lodged in what police say is a stormwater culvert around midday on Sunday.
Police are treating the death as suspicious.
The area where a body was discovered has been cordoned off, while police officers examine the scene.
