A man who admitted helping his terminally-ill mother to die says he will seek legal advice about overturning his conviction.
Patricia Davison died in 2006 hours after drinking a cocktail of crushed up morphine tablets prepared by her son Sean Davison.
In November 2011 he was sentenced to five months of home detention.
But the coroner says it is impossible to know if the morphine drink caused or contributed to the death, and he would not change the death certificate to reflect the assisted suicide.
Mr Davison says he plans to speak to his lawyer about what this means for his conviction.
