After almost two weeks of deliberations, a jury has found a man guilty of killing three Japanese tourists after a stabbing rampage on Guam.

The Pacific Daily News reports the Supreme Court jury found Chad DeSoto guilty of three counts of aggravated murder, 11 counts of attempted aggravated murder and posessions of a deadly weapon.

In February last year, DeSoto drove his car down a footpath, crashed into a shop and then got out and stabbed bystanders.

He had pleaded not guilty by reason of mental illness.

DeSoto will be sentenced on the September the 25th when he faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.
