The Solomon Islands Leadership Code Commission has cleared the Prime Minister Gordon Darcy Lilo of an allegation of misconduct in office.

The Solomon Star reports the chairman of the commission Emmanuel Kouhota announced their decision on Thursday.

The group, Forum Solomon Islands International, complained last year, alleging Mr Lilo was involved in an extra-marital affair.

But Mr Kouhota says they found no evidence to support that allegation.
