Primary Industries Minister Nathan Guy flies to Argentina on Saturday to attend an international agriculture conference.
He says it is a valuable opportunity to meet his counterparts from Latin America, the United States, Canada and the Caribbean, to discuss issues facing the agricultural sector across the world.
Mr Guy will also visit Uruguay and Paraguay. He says Latin America is one of the world's fastest-growing regions and New Zealand is keen to build trade relationships there.
