British Prime Minister David Cameron will visit New Zealand next week.
He will do so en route to a meeting of Commonwealth Heads of Government in Australia.
While in New Zealand he will meet Prime Minister, John Key and make a short visit to Christchurch.
Mr Key says he is looking forward to hosting Mr Cameron for what will be an important visit.
He says they will discuss a wide range of issues including the economic situation in Europe.
