Cyclist killed in Dunedin named

Dunedin police have named the cyclist who was knocked off his bike and died outside the city's hospital on Monday.

Dr LiHong He, also known as Chris, was a senior lecturer at the University of Otago's Faculty of Dentistry.

The 34-year-old leaves behind a wife and two young children.

Dr He died after being struck on Cumberland Street outside Dunedin Hospital at about 10am on Monday.

The police are continuing their investigations.
