The Catholic Church says it has begun the final round of community consultation for a merger between two of its schools in Christchurch.
It wants to combine St Paul's School in Dallington with Our Lady of Fatima School in Mairehau.
St Paul's has been on a temporary site following serious damage in the September 2010 earthquake.
Education Minister Hekia Parata has previously agreed in principal to a new state-integrated primary school with a maximum roll of 495 students.
The second and final round of consultation only involves the two school's boards of trustees and staff.
