Wool prices have been mostly holding their ground at the weekly sales.
Fine merino prices were 3- 4% lower at last week's sale compared with the previous South Island sale a fortnight ago, bringing them into line with Australian prices.
Mid micron and cross-bred wools matched or gained slightly on the previous week's North Island prices.
More than 80% of the 10,500 bales on offer were sold.
