An organic dairy farming partnership has scored the top award in the Waikato Ballance Farm Environment Awards.
Gray and Marilyn Baldwin and their sharemilkers Hamish and Jane Putt farm just west of Putaruru.
The farm is in conversion to organic certification and also includes a forestry block.
Temuka arable farmers Nick and Michelle Ward are the Supreme winners of the Canterbury Farm Environment Awards.
The couple farm more than 220 hectares of irrigated crop and lamb finishing country at Milford, growing a wide range of food and seed crops. They also farm 230 hectares of dryland at Geraldine.
