Police have made an arrest over the death of a man injured outside a Blenheim nightclub in August.
Matthew Patrick Heagney, 24, died in hospital from head injuries he sustained as he was leaving the Shapeshifters club in Kinross St.
A man was to appear in Christchurch District Court on Thursday charged with manslaughter.
Police say the arrest comes after extensive inquiry and careful consideration of the facts. They had been criticised for not charging anyone over Mr Heagney's death.
