Petrol companies have raised fuel prices in New Zealand by up to 6 cents a litre on Friday.
BP, Shell, Mobil and Caltex have raised the price of unleaded 91 to $1.81.9c per litre.
Caltex has also raised diesel by 6c to $1.21.9, while diesel prices at BP, Mobil and Shell have increased 3c to $1.18.9c per litre.
Shell says the steep rise is because international oil prices are higher than they have been in several months.
