The New Zealand sharemarket was up 14 points, or 0.4%, at 3301 by the close of trade on Friday. Turnover was $54.7 million.
Fletcher Building was up 1 cent to $8.44 per share, Telecom was also 1c higher at $2.19, and Contact Energy gained 4c to $6.22.
Air New Zealand was unchanged at $1.37, after resuming flights to Europe on Thursday following disruptions caused by an ash cloud from a volcano in Iceland.
Nuplex was 10c higher at $3.36.
New Zealand Oil and Gas was up 2c to $1.54, and Pike River Coal unchanged at $1.13 after announcing details of its $90 million capital raising to repay a lender and speed up production.
Sky City Entertainment Group was 5c higher at $3.28.
