A 6.9 magnitude earthquake has struck near Solomon Islands on Saturday evening.
The United States Geological Survey says the quake struck at a depth of 35km off Kira Kira.
Officials in the capital Honiara, 200km from the quake's epicentre, say it was felt quite strongly there but there were no immediate reports of damage.
The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says there was no tsunami warning.
