A woman has died in a quad bike accident near Kaikohe in Northland.
Police say the 65-year-old was killed when the vehicle rolled on her farm on Monday afternoon.
They say she appears to have tried to negotiate a steep hill when the quad bike overturned and landed on her, trapping her for some time, until a family member found her.
The police and the Labour Department are investigating.
