Director Tim Burton and actress Helena Bonham Carter received BFI fellowships at the London Film Festival awards on Sunday.
Burton received his honour from Sir Christopher Lee, while his partner was presented hers by Sir Trevor Nunn.
"It's good because there's no jealousy at home," Bonham Carter said afterwards.
"It's very thoughtful for them to give us both one at the same time."
