More than 30 people have died after drinking toxic cough syrup in an eastern part of Pakistan.
The deaths started occurring on Wednesday in the city of Gujranwala, about 70km north of Lahore.
Most were drug addicts who took the syrup for intoxication. Five people still receiving treatment in hospital.
The ABC reports that so far the syrup has not been identified.
Police said samples of cough syrups available at local pharmacies have been collected and sent to laboratories.
At least 19 people died in Lahore after drinking toxic cough syrup last month.
In January around 100 heart patients died in Lahore after taking tainted medicine.
