A football league game in Germany had to be postponed on Saturday after the referee tried to commit suicide.
Babak Rafati, 41, failed to show up for the Bundesliga fixture in Cologne and was found in his hotel room.
Police have confirmed he attempted to kill himself, but say he is now in a stable condition in hospital.
The game between Cologne and Mainz05 was called off 40 minutes before kick-off. The match has been postponed.
Rafati had been a Bundesliga referee for six years and officiated at 84 league games.
