The president of Auckland's centre-right campaign ticket says it plans to lobby the Government about the use of postal ballots in local body elections.
Citizens and Ratepayers president John Slater told supporters the review was needed after charges of forgery against a Labour SuperCity candidate for the local Papatoetoe board.
He says postal voting is leaving itself open to abuse in many ways.
Two men, including unsuccessful candidate Daljit Singh, are charged with forging change of address forms, following an investigation.
Last month, the Registrar of Electors removed 306 from the electoral roll after it was found they did not live at the addresses stated.
